Aims and scope

The journal publishes original research and survey papers in the area of Probability and Statistics. It covers theoretical and practical aspects, in any field of these domains. Submitted papers should contain sufficiently advanced mathematical results ; for example, contributions that only establish existence or stationary distributions for finite-dimensional stochastic dynamical systems will not be considered. Long papers are welcome.

Of particular interest are methodological developments with application in other scientific areas, e.g., in life sciences, information theory, finance, bioinformatics, random structures and random graphs, econometrics, or physics.

The editorial board will endeavour to keep reviewing times to a reasonable level ; in particular, a first evaluation can be expected to be provided within 3 to 4 months.
